The whole month of October I participated in the Inktober Challenge. The Inktober Challenge was founded by Mr Jake Parker and is held every year for more information visit his website and #inktober for other participants.
I was so scared at the beginning of this challenge, my go to material is pencil. Now… what material should I use, last year I used fineliner for the Inktober Challenge. Watercolours! Let’s use watercolors. Now… what to paint this month. Cats! I love cats, and I know a lot of people who own cats.
I had to get used to working with watercolour, but it was such a fun start of the day. Really good motivation for the rest of the day. First I drew very lightly the shape of the cat, then started painting and after the paint was dry I aded little details like whiskers. As the month progressed you could really see changes in the way of painting and color use.
Next year I will participate once again in the Inktober Challenge.
